I have just started a new James Herbert book called 'Ash'.

Bit slow to start but James often is!

I've just finished reading The War of the Wives by Tamar Cohen, thoroughly enjoyed it. It's about a man named Simon who has been living a duplicitous life with two wives/two families, and how things are discovered after his sudden death as the two wives, unknown to each other and completely oblivious to the double life, come face to face at his funeral.

I've read all hers since my husband bought me Dying for Christmas and I'm sad I've come to the end. I have loads of samples on the Kindle app though so I'm looking forwards to try some of those.

I'm going to try that. You might like Helen Fitzgerald. Have a look on Amazon. I have all her books on my Kindle. They're really good. cheers

I used to read him. Forgot all about him! Another Author I love when I was younger was Ed McBain - the 87th precinct novels. I'm going to give them a go again.

He has just recently passed away I believe. He is a reliable good solid horror writer.

I haven't heard of Ed McBain, shall take a look! Very Happy

James Herbert was one of my favourite authors but I haven't read one of his for years.

Two very good british authors are Steve Harris and Stephen Laws. Similar to Herbert but really imaginitive.

See, in particular, a book called Chasm by Laws and one called Adventureland by Harris.

Let me know if it's good.

I am still reading The Zookeepers Wife. It's kind of disjointed and not an easy read due to that but good enough to keep going.

I’m reading: Friends Request by Laura Marshall
Too early to say whether it’s gonna grip me.

The blurb
Maria wants to be friends
But she’s dead
Isn’t she affraid

I'm saving my last few episodes of this series of Grey's. I want a day when the door won't be knocked on and the phone won't ring. Probably with a few sweets on standby. Very Happy

It's so good. That book wasn't great - surprise ending but a wee bit far fetched.

I'm reading Peaches for Monsieur Le Curé by Joanne Harris. It is the last book in the trilogy starting with Chocolat. The first book has been the best in my opinion.

I don't really read but I've still got my half finished novel tucked away on my lappy that I began to write years ago, but I got stuck on one chapter and re-wrote it about a dozen times and still wasn't happy with it so I sort of gave it up, but I may go back to it one day......

I have just started a book that my Mum has just finished. It's by Gail Honeyman, and titled Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine. The reviews all sing it's praises too. I'm looking forward to reading it.
