True Crime.

An interesting programme of the killers who having murdered someone, then appear on television pleading with the public for help.

Stuart Hazell was interviewed on the sofa in his house, pleading for the safe return of his step-granddaughter.

However Tia Sharpe was only a few feet away, murdered by Hazell and hidden in the loft of his house.

The programme features lots of others who cried "crocodile tears"

I've seen this Vicks. It's very interesting how some crave the limelight and give themselves away.

Not sure if this one will be on that programme, but she looked an evil bitch from the beginning. Shocked

On 1 December 1996 Lee Harvey was murdered during what was thought to be a road rage incident in Worcestershire, England. His fiance, Tracie Andrews told police a man had got of his car and stabbed Lee over 30 times. Andrews featured in a press conference, absolutely distraught over the murder of her fiance and from the trauma of witnessing his murder. The reality was that Tracie Andrews had herself launched into a rage and brutally stabbed Lee Harvey repeatedly before concocting the road rage story to conceal her guilt. This true crime documentary tells the story of what happened in their relationship and on that fateful night. Andrews was charged with murder in 1997 and after being found guilty, sentenced to life imprisonment. Tracie Andrews was released from prison in July 2011 after serving just over 13 years.

Good programme, Vicks. So chilling in all cases but that Darren Vickers made me shudder.

This is intresting Kizzie.

It tells how the body contradicts the words and how moving in certain ways, lets the experts know you're lying.

Evil beyond belief Vickers, moving in with his victims family and letting them defend him.

Mitchell Quy must be one of the most egotistical murderers i've ever seen.

For eightneen months he insisted his wife had walked out on him and her children, he even appeared on This Morning.

This documentary was filmed a month before he was finally arrested and it makes for uncomfortable viewing.

I watched one about Michael Stone a few months ago, such a savage crime and yet he left no DNA or any trace of himself at the scene?

I think he's innocent.

Barry George was another one that was wrongly convicted.

By all accounts he's was a bit of a weirdo but harmless and a bit dopey.

Yet the police wanted us to believe he'd carried out the hitman style murder of Jill Dando and left no trace at the scene?

Jeffery Archer was in prison with Barry George and said George had trouble finding the canteen.

A programme about the two men who were wrongly convicted of one of Scotland's most horrific murders.

In April 1984, James and Lilian Doyle and their sons Daniel, James, Andrew, Stephen and Anthony and their daughter Christine and her eighteen month old baby Mark, were all asleep at their home in Ruchazie when someone doused their front door in petrol.

Only Lilian, Stephen and Daniel would survive the inferno.

Thomas Campbell and Jospeh Steele were convicted and spent almost 20 years in prison before having their convictions quashed.

Nobody else has ever been convicted for what is one of Scotland's most horrific crimes.

Scotland Goalkeeper David Marshall is the son of Mr and Mrs Doyle's other daughter Linda, who was married and living elsewhere at the time of the fire.

David's parents spoke publicly after his wonderful display in goals for Celtic v Barcelona when he was only nineteen, but only after making it clear they wouldn't talk about the fire.

None of the Doyle's have ever spoken about it in public.

The name Susan Newall is probably no known to many people, if indeed anyone outside my hometown of Coatbridge.

The 30 year old mother of one was married to John Newell and they lived with their daughter Janet in the towns Newlands Street.

However Susan Newell was the last woman to be hanged in Scotland.

She murdered 13 year old paperboy John Johnstone, so she could still the few pennies the boy had and then hid his body in a pram, sat her daughter on top and made for Glasgow where she planned on dumping his body.

A driver spotted them and gave them a lift and as the pram was being removed from the lorry, one of the tragic schoolboys feet fell out and a woman looking out her window notice it and dashed off to find a policeman.

Susan Newell was apprehended a short time later and was taken to Duke Street police station.

Susan Newell blamed her husband for the boys death and both of them were sent for trial.

However John Newell was found not guilty and Susan Newell was found guilty and sent to the gallows.

The building the murder took place in was on the corner of Newlands Street across the road from St Mary's Primary School.

However it was knocked down a long time ago and an old folks home is in it's place now.

You'd think that be an automatic rule. I don't really care too much about the paedophile but I do feel for those that witnessed it.

Oh we watched this ages ago. It was so interesting! I was convinced they were innocent at first but then I read around it and now I’m not sure.

Either way, spending that long being found guilty of a crime you didn’t commit must seriously fuck with your emotions

Even worse if your innocent and have to live with the threat of execution

Glenn Ford spent 25 years on death row before he was finally cleared.

I agree. There is alot of circumstantial evidence to link Bellfield to the scene too. A known serial killer who murdered women.

Another crime from my hometown of Coatbridge is the dissapearance of schoolgirl Moira Anderson.

Moira vanished in February 1957 and her body has never been found.

It was a terrible day in Coatbridge, when Moira went a message for her gran and the 13 year old was last seen getting on a bus that was being driven by Alexander Gartshore.

Gartshore was on bail for raping his children's babysitter and the mind boggles as to why he was allowed to carry on with his job.

As it happened my Granda was driving the bus in the morning and he swapped shifts with Gartshore in the afternoon.

Gartshore insisted he took his car to the swap over but my Granda was adamant Gartshore arrived on foot.

Gartshore's family remember his car still being outside his house when he left for work but a few hours later it was gone.

He must have sneaked back for it and no doubt used it to hide the body somewhere.

The police inquiry into Moira's disappearance was a fiasco, my Granda wasn't interviewed until 30 years later.

Gartshore has been dead for years but the search for Moira goes on and hopefully one day, she'll be laid to rest properly.

Probably one of the worst crimes in recent years in the UK.

The deaths of six children aged between five and thirteen who were killed in an arson attack started by their own parents.

Mick Philpott lived with his wife Mairead, his girlfriend Lisa and they're eleven children in Derby.

Lisa had enough of the sordid lifestyle at 18 Victory Road and left with her five children.

Mick Philpott was outraged and wanted his children back.

Not because he loved them, because he was missing the money they brought in.

He thought he could kill two birds with one stone.

Burn his house town and blame Lisa.

That way he would get a bigger house and with Lisa tucked up in prison for arson, he would get the children back.

It all went terribly wrong and six youngsters died.

Mick Philpott fathered seventeen children, he was on Jeremy Kyle.

A revolting man who along with his wife, should never be freed.
