NHS Staff to recieve pay rise

Post by Claire on Sun Jun 10, 2018 7:20 am

In Scotland.

I'm also getting 3% this year after 9 years of no rise or 1%, in effect about an 8k pay cut.

Do you think it's fair that public service workers and benefits claimants have born the brunt of Tory Austerity?

During these 9 years, because of cuts, we have also lost loads of jobs so we're all trying to do two jobs each, with no pay rise.

This also means that, where we used to have a good career structure, movement has ground to a halt.

We had a restructure last year.. loads of jobs gone & like you double the work, double the pressure, wage the same.

All emergency services, nurses etc deserve a rise! I can't understand why nurses are on a low income when you think of the work they do.

I don't get it either. All public service employees should be getting 3% at least. We are up here.
